Differences Between Kenworth Aerocab & Non-Aerocab
Do you know how to tell the difference between a Kenworth aerocab and a non-aerocab model? This is very important information to know when ordering new parts for your truck. In the video below, Boss Man here at Chrome Shop Mafia and Glenn English take a look at the two different cab designs to show you how to quickly identify each one.
4 Main Differences Between An Aerocab And A Non-Aerocab:
- Most aerocabs have a curved windshield. While a select few non-aerocab models share this feature, they typically feature a flat or two-piece windshield.
- With most aerocabs, the cab and sleeper are sealed together and operate as one unit. Non-aerocabs usually have a modular sleeper, where the sleeper is quickly removable.
- On an aerocab the cowling on the hood has a curved top instead of a boxier design.
- The exhaust elbow on an aero cab comes down low with a few bends before it tucks down under the frame rail. While there are a few non-aero models that do have the exhaust tucked under, this is mostly not the case.
