Here he is boys…………the Rat Rod 359 from CSM.
A real ‘truckers’ truck! We started out with a rock solid ol’ 359 Peterbilt……..
3406 - 425hp Cat, 9 Spd OD with a 4 speed OD Spicer aux. trans, 3.70 rears on a late model LowLeaf suspension. At 310” wheelbase, the Rat Rod looks just right sittin’ on 10 new Continental Tires and Accuride aluminum wheels! This truck was owned for nearly 20 years by Randy Humphrey and family down in Florida. It was sold to the boyz at CSM about a year ago, since Randy had purchased a new Legacy 379. Mechanically, the truck is tight, but the body was just a tad’ rough here and there-not bad, just a lil’tattered and torn around the edges!
We removed the Double Eagle bunk and installed the 63” Pete sleeper you see here. It looked so good with the black sleeper vs. painting it to match, we decided to give the ol Rat Rod the ‘outlaw’ look and ‘even more’ personality by gathering most of our ‘accessories’ out of the salvage yard or ‘trade in’ pile! The guys in the shop, Lil’ Joe- Shaggy- and the gang, had a lotta fun ‘designing’ many of the enhancements you see here!
This truck is a absolute blast to show off and fun to drive too! Our goal was to show folks that you don’t necessarily have to spend ‘BIG BIG’ dollars to have fun, be a competitor, and show off your truck at these ‘show & shine’ events!
Who knows-maybe there will be a Rat Rod Division at truck shows in the future!
Until then…………………Keep On Truckin!
