Ed Talley’s Wicked Green ’85 359

May 2008

Ed Talley’s wicked green ’85 359 was brought to us in pretty good shape, we had a clean canvas to begin our art with, Ed and his buddy Mike Hill teamed up together to help us build this monster.
We started by ripping the sleeper off and cutting the holes out bigger which allowed us to slide the seats back about 3” fer that much needed leg room!  While we had it off we threw all the bracing in the cab and sleeper and finished out the entire unibilt project like a late model 379.  Then she needed a little more wheelbase, as you know we couldn’t stop there, everything from the sleeper back is new, the entire cutoff was outfitted with longer rails of course and all new brakes, pods, lines, etc. and a full services thanks to Johnston Truck Repair.  Up front we gave her a little rake by lowering it slightly, slapped a 22” tapered bumper on, complimented by a s/s louvered grill and polished surround, Dave and the boyz in the fab shop cut Pete ovals in the top of the grill surround and finished ‘em out to replace the grab handles, they also whipped us out a smooth aluminum floor and 359 style all smooth alum battery boxes fer under the doors, as well as 3 pc. frame covers, and actual sm. aluminum rail covers fer that xtra slick look!  We put a custom fuel tank cross over panel and a front drive axle cover as well as a s/s center section on the rear that houses the backup lights all fabbed up in-house by Dave and the boyz as well!  We put a set of full fiberglass low light wtis over the rear drives to protect that eye catching green paint we put on everything we could get our hands on!  We did a complete custom interior courtesy of Oz Custom Upholstery with an old Dodge Challenger theme in mind, we painted the dash panels and misc. interior parts, threw a good size stereo in it fer Ed’s listening pleasure and finished it off with a set of mitre cut 8” extra tall stacks, and some new fuel tanks with flush filler necks!
As always it was a blast fellas thanks!
