Donnie Gardner’s 2009 Pete 389 Glider Kit

The Chrome Shop Mafia crew is proud to have built this slick lil 2009 Pete 389 Glider Kit for longtime customer Donnie Gardner of Missouri.

Donnie was lookin’ to get a new truck, but did not want all the DPF restrictions and emission issues that come with the late model ‘factory’ trucks.

We had a C15 Cat 550 (single turbo) rebuilt at the dealership, so Don could enjoy a 3 year engine warranty, backed it up with a new 13 speed trans and a flex air suspension with 3:36 rears and guess what happened…………we may have just built the perfect truck! Of course, no rig can leave our shop without getting the ‘fully accessorized’ treatment. This 389 stayed ‘cool, smooth and classic’……you just can’t beat the color combo….’black & chrome’!

A big THANK YOU to Donnie and his family for putting his confidence in us to build him the truck he ‘always wanted’ – may you get a million miles out of her, with ‘but a few’ occasional repairs.
