Jonathan Dyck’s 2007 Pete 379

January 2010

JONATHAN DYCK’S 2007 PETE 379
When Jon and the crew at Jade started on this 379 Legacy, they were committed to making it ‘smooth and unique’—the goal was to make Legacy #109 ‘stand out’ in the flood of Peterbilts runnin’ around this big ol’ US of A and Canada! For basics………..he’s got big Cat power, 18 speed, low-low air leaf with a ‘low drop’ car hauler steer axle and 280” wheelbase…….great start—where do we look next?

Many of the mod’s were not only installed ‘in house,’ but also were built by Rob, Ben, and the crew at Jade’s…..Items like the frame cover, rear lite bar, frame filler panel in front of the drive axles, cab/sleeper panels and the task of hiding the UniBilt sleeper bags under the bunk were all concepts that were created by these fellas! Another eye catching feature is the fenders—Jonathan installed his own brand of fenders. They are super smooth lookin, light weight, do not necessarily require paint, and are very rugged & reliable. Other cool features are late 359 square head-lites, chopped breather screens, bow-tie visor, 7” Monster Stacks, custom step boxes, and air filter panels. Inside the coupe, they laid down some awesome English Weave carpet and a pair of low base Wide Ride seats. The shifter was lengthened 8” and the wood grain trim was covered up with green paint to match the exterior.

These folks pull tankers all across North America; literally, they go darn near EVERYWHERE! Jon tries to get home and spend time with his wife and 6 month old baby girl every chance he gets and wants to recognize all the fellas in his shop that helped make this Hot Rod Pete a true ‘working show truck’ that he is VERY proud of!

Keep up the great work, Jonathan…….Those Jade rigs are always crowd pleasers…...Whether on display at a truck show or rollin’ down the hi-way!
